There is some debate as to what constitutes a production car, because the Radical SR8 is still the fastes production car around the circuit at 7min 19.
It still amazes me that Porsche managed to get the new 911 GT2 to lap in 7min 32 for a car thats considerably less than half the cost of the Zonda and still has the engine in the wrong place as far as anybody else in concerned!!!
Also the Zonda has just caught up and fractionaly passed the Carrera GT lap time!!!
Still I would be happy to drive the Zonda if someone wants to give me one

Think the Radical isn't road legal in Germany .. it's only road legal in the UK. And I think the lap was 6:55.

I suspect the cost of getting that time out of the Zonda has been considerably less than half of what Porsche have spent...

Well, they've had 40 years practice and have probably spent far more than Zonda have developing their car.

The only alterations were new tyres....oh, and the owner asked them not to ground it too much so they raised the ride height by 15mm which also worsened the handling.
