After 25 months of ownership, I'm sitting at ~59,000 miles. With 11 months left, I'd already owe $1610 in mileage with a lease like that.

I'm sorry but I don't believe in leases, they're the most expensive way to pay for a vehicle in the long run.

I never understood the point of leasing...you don't gain anything from it.

Leasing makes sense if you need/want transportation and only want to pay for the actual depreciation versus the actual value of the vehicle. You are only paying for the portion of time you are using the car.

Leasing makes sense to folks who want a newer car more often with less investment, eg - high payments.

Typically, folks can afford a lease on say, a Toyota 4Runner Limited at $499 per month for 36 months versus a $779. Tax advantages for businesses, sure. For the average folks, it allows them to get more car/truck for their monthly budget.

Now...on the S2000 Lease...I think it makes sense for folks who want a "Sunday" driver for little expense. If I wanted to lease the S, I would put $0 down (other than maybe the 1st payment/security deposit) and the payment would probably hit around $375. For lots of folks, that $375 could be justified for a "weekend car." Compare that to the retail financing of $627.

my dad looked into that one day when i bought my s2000. if you do that lease it was like a 23,000$ buyout at the end of the 3 years if you wanted to keep the car. all depends what you wanna do. oh also any south carolina owners that lease deal isn't available in SC i don't think from what i've heard, i know north carolina has it though
