58 in a 45
Very. Angry.
I did 45 right up to the curve that transitions into a 55 and lightly rolled into in anticipation of the greater speed. Cop was parked about forty feet from the 55 sign and lights me up. She accused me no less than five times of being high, and would not stop commenting on how "bloodshot" my eyes where. Even after handing me the ticket she kept saying to be careful and my eyes where really bloodshot and that "there's something going on there". Than the...officer follows me for about three miles to my house.
I'm pissed, insulted, etc.
Question: 13 over is a big deal here right? What do you guys recommend? Do I need a lawyer?

So, when you actually pulled over, you were in the 55 mph zone? I'd take a few pics of the area and argue that in front of the judge. When the DA hears that you got pulled over in a 55 they could dismiss it then.
wake county?
if they drop it to a 54 in 45 or 49 in 45 you're good. if they "convict" you over 55 thats when the points pile on.
I'd go and see what the DA will do, if they wont take it down to a 49 in 45 continue it and call tim vandersomething (its been posted here quite a few times) he is very reliable IMHO

I kinda hope this is within Wake Co. so Tim can help you out with it.
Along with 'faulty equipment', I hear conflicting things about 'dismissal in absence of the officer' in NC, so you'll want to ask about this to be sure.
