Anyone know some *NICE* roads around Jacksonville? Future Meet Locale!
Just curious if anyone knows some twisties in the Jacksonville area. I lived in Jacksonville (shhhh, don't tell anyone) for a number of years when my father was in the Marine Corps. I know a few *nice* roads where we can enjoy some spirited runs, but I'm curious if anyone else here knows of any.
I was thinking we could arrange a nice meet in Jacksonville with Lunch then a drive. Thoughts?
We need another drive and meet soon! This weekend is out for me as I'll be driving down to Miami and helping my mother move up here. So, I *REALLY* need the meet and drive for the following weekend, if you catch my drift.

You have to go west of J-Ville to find twisties. The area around Pony Farm Rd. and Ramsey Rd. is OK. I've taken a test ride on a few Triumph models with the dealer there and he knows where the twisties were. I'd have to check with him because I had no idea where we were riding. That Triumph Speed Triple was a Hoot!
I did remark later that I was pleasantly suprised on the amount of twisties there.

I almost spilled my coffee when I read this Post.
(Airgate - I am in the same boat as you and I won't tell)
At least some of my old hometown friends are with the NCSHP and JPD.
I can easliy say in-town has no twisties and speeding in a no-no. As Richard F stated for the twisties, You may have to go to the SouthWest and Richlands area.
-> This one is good - Ramsey Rd. (Gum Branch road to HWY 17N ~ 5 mile run)
(Note to self: God.... Why do I know this useless info? please delete it ASAP!)
