ATTN: Dragon & Track Junkies, etc.
I'm getting ready to do some much needed maintenance on the S, and am trying to decide which brake pads I want to go with. Most of you probably know my style of driving... autocross, dragon, and fairly aggressive, safe, street driving.
So, I'm looking for a high-performance pad that'll handle the heat of the dragon but won't be loud and super-hard on my rotors, like a track pad would be.
So, what have you used and enjoyed?

I had the Axxis ceramic pads on my VW, coupled with summer perfomance tires -- so the brakes had a chance to really work. Outstanding for aggressive street driving. Let us know if you take thm on a track.

The stock honda pads are hard to beat for the money. I switch out to Carbotech Panther +'s for track days, but I run stockers the rest of the time. I'd like to try the Cobalt Sports next time, but it's hard to justify spending $200, when the stockers are $80.

Yeah... I was looking at the Cobalts and the Hawks in the Marketplace. Didn't know if anyone had tried them.
Stockers are much cheaper... And the money saved could go towards Koni's.

I can recommend EBC's Green Stuff pads for our S2000 . Here's their link:

Actually...looks like they have some new selections to consider (last time I'd purchased...my choice was Green Stuff or Red Stuff. Red was typically for race only...and I'd gathered a real rotor-eater. Greens have been good to me. A little dusty for sure :cough: In fact, between exhaust carbon-blow and my brake pads, a day on The Dragon will leave The Bruised Banana's rear end looking rather Berlina-like . But they brake well. I will admit I experienced a glazing on these pads once on The Dragon and it had me standing on the brakes to get my EBC slotted/dimpled rotors to gnaw off the glaze...but that was on a 3-go Dragon pass with 4-wheel drifting . I'd say they deserved to glaze a titch . But all joking aside, its worth mentioning that. I don't have the experience to say whether or not other pads are impervious to glazing. So I'll state my experience as it is and leave it to you to compare with other pads/choices. All things being equal, I like to return to the Green Stuff

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
After looking around at prices, etc. I think I'm going to stick with the stockers again, like Bryan suggested. I'll likely spend the money saved on a set of Koni's!
