How do I know what class to register in. I have never done any kind of autocross stuff. I'm interested for sure though. What will I need, just a helmet? From my reading I just need to sign up for the novice group and that is all right? I don't even have a helmet, it says they will have loaners so I guess I won't need anything.

Post your current car setup (mods) and we will tell you what to run. They have loaner helmets if you don't have one (they are free to use). Only requirements are that your battery is secured, wheels are on with no wiggle/slack, seats and belts are solid, and the car is in decent running condition. Bring your car, some cash, and some sunscreen!

Car is 06 model Mods are
turbocharged
methanol injection
11lb flywheel and dual friction clutch
tien cs coilovers
eibach front swaybar
stock brakes with braided stainless lines
hasport diff mounts
nonstaggered ap1 rears with nt01 245/50/16 tires
Flashpro
id1000 injectors
aeromotive 340 fuel pump
stock interior other than guages
stock body except for apr carbon splitter and canards, and carbon mugen style hood
battery is relocated to trunk and is secured
Thats pretty much the jist of it, I can run the power level anywhere from 275ish to 450 if that changes anything with the classification.

Lol, that's a hard one. I think you will be in SSM which is super sport modified. It could just be SM, which is sport modified though. Just register as SSM with your index as Novice. It really won't matter too much if you run in the Novice index which I would suggest.

Yes all you need it you and your car! They have free loaner helmets, some come prepared to have fun!

You will be in SSM, SM is the same just with more than two seats (mustang, evo, etc) and if it is your first autox I would recommend running at the lowest HP possible it will be much easier with throttle control.

I'm gonna make sure the wife isn't working that day, if not i'll get signed up this evening. The proving grounds are only about 20minutes from my house so I really can't pass this up. I'm kinda excited, I hope I can do a decent time with the car.

I'm not sure if im going, I work sat so that's one issue. There its a rrr event Friday the 22nd and they might move the cancelled hutch event to Sunday the 24th... If they do I'll wait and go to hutch instead.
