Posted this all on the introductions forum but also wanted to say hi to all in the Carolina's again having recently (one week ago) purchased a new MY06 S2000 (Suzuka Blue). I was a S2KI member when I purchased a MY02 2002 four years ago and have missed the S2000 since I sold it in 2004 (long story in itself). Back then I used one of my other "call signs" (Scambo) and my S2K was Sebring Silver with the red interior. Fortunately I had S2K International to surf every now and then to keep me from becoming to depressed.

I am lucky to be married to the best wife as she suggested last Spring that I get another S2000. Of course the whimpering sounds I made every time I saw an S2000 might have gotten to her as well. Anyway the day finally arrived last Saturday. I also found that I am still addicted to adding improvements - Rick's floor mats and Ti Voodoo shift knob on order already with a list made.

A lot has changed since I first came to North Carolina as a mobilized Marine in late 2001 (originally only to be here for a year or two). I am now here on a permanent basis (as permanent as it can be for a Marine), own a house out towards Emerald Isle and my family (wife and two dogs) are with me (I have two sons that attend FSU so we see them occasionally too - especially when money is low). I look forward to attending a meet/drive again sometime soon.

Tidalwave - my wife and I need very little in the way of an excuse to head west to Charlotte, although we tend to get side tracked prior to getting that far.

RWD HNDA, will have to keep my eyes open for your silverstone. I have seen a white S2 and a red one on base. I work at II MEF HQs in H1 so I am out that way. Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet.

Since you had the experience of a 2002...maybe you can pass along your impressions of the 2006...compared to the 2002.
