Default Blue is beautiful

I have been looking into getting an S2 for a while now. I wanted a Silver/Red but was quite disappointed with Honda making all the leather red on the inside this year. In a better note....I went to Hendrick this weekend because I was driving by and noticed an S2000 in the back. It was the most beautiful S2000 I have ever seen. It was that new Suzuka Blue Metallic color. You guys wont believe how beautiful it looks. The inside is awesome as well. The dash doesn't look as bright as I thought it was going to be. I came close to saying.........I do. The car turns out to be the property of Honda Corp. for now. It is the one they are going to have at the car show this weekend. It will be for sale after the show on the 3rd. and I believe you can put a deposit on it. All the dealers around the area will be getting a Blue one in the beginning of December it seems

I really want to get it but I'm hesitant on how much trouble I will get into. I have never driven rear wheel drive and I tend to drive pretty fast. Does anyone have any close encounters and going over the edge with your stook. How fast in corners I have heard its definitely and only for sunny days!

The Suzuka Blue definately is a beauty!!!

If you are interested, LeJeune Honda in Jacksonville (910) 346-4944 is selling this S2000 and is asking $500 over sticker. This is where I originally bought my '00 for $6k over sticker!

I know the folks there pretty well, you can probably work out a deal for sticker price!

If I know my Charlotte Honda dealers, they wont be making that 500 over sticker offer. They like their cars alot more than that. 'course this is a recession and all??!! I am sure they can be talked down to 4000 over

Cool pics

I sat in a blue one...I am not thrilled with the blue *everything* in the car; blue leather, blue dash, blue steering wheel -- too much blue.

If they made a black interior/blue exterior version, I would have snapped it up.

But hey, just MHO...the new silver is schweet, and fine for me.

Cheers,
-J

Thanks airgate for the info and those pictures. I have the one in the showroom as a background at work. I really want the S2000 and hope I can get a good deal as well as DrParsons when I decide to get it. I am pretty sure they can give us a good deal since they are getting 8-12 S2000s a month instead of 4 like the previous years. I talked to the Honda representative at the show and he assured me that they have increased production

Daemon J.. I agree with there is alot of Blue! For some reason it strikes me as a nice combination. The blue is a passive blue...not too bad. I saw the one with RED interior...........waaay too much RED.

I still love that S2000 shifter more than anything. I sat in a lot of cars this weekend at the show which included a blue Z06 and even the RSXTS. I like the RSX's shifter and would get it over a Z06.....I guess I gotten used to the smaller possibly nimbler vehicles. The Z06 feels like a boat, specially with those long shifts. I don't think I will ever buy any other brand

I have also sat in the car. A whole bunch of people have sat in your car. I left three small one getting in the car.

My wife and I had the same reaction we both hated it, then tolerated it, then kind of liked it. It takes some getting used to.

I did see ONE car that I would trade in the S2000 for at the show...a Z8 BMW. Now if I could get somebody to give me an even swap

I didnt see you there Carol, but we were on another mission. Had to see the Diamond White Cadillac color and also decide between the Escalade and the Denali. The pearl paint made the choice and with 1 day before the S2000 1 year anniversary I have a new toy... a Diamond White '02 Escalade. Now my S2000 doesnt have to get lonely.
