Default Build thread

Well my transmission is on its way out and I broke my last diff back in December on my last weekend here before moving to Watertown, NY. So I put an AP2 diff in her to get her moved up to Brett's in Raleigh. After looking into it and deciding to pull the trigger on a big buy, my money was burning a hole in my pocket and I wanted some supporting mods on the car. So Brett said I needed to start a thread build on here so here goes.
1. 2008 CR tranny (36000 miles)-seller is doing a 2JZ swap needs funds
2. Inline Pro diff kit with R200 diff and a Greddy aluminum diff plate with extra oil capacity and cooling fins with magnetic diff plugs
3. Clutchmasters kevlar clutch disc
4. New boost, oil pressure, oil temp gauges and fuel pressure gauge
5. 10mm ichiba hubcentric spacers for the fronts from evasive
6. 19 row oil cooler another oil cooler yes
7. APR front splitter for some down force up front
8. Apex'i turbo timer
9. Koyo R radiator with Blitz 1.3 bar cap
10. Upgraded radiator fans that move more than 80% more air than stock fans
11. Innovative engine and tranny mounts at 75A durometer rating(track rating)
12. Energy suspension diff mounts
13. New OEM rear view mirror(old one loose and faded and peeling) to mount spoon mirror onto
14. Solid steering rack bushings
15. Front anti-bumpsteer spacers
16. Shorty antenna
And thats the list for the time being, I am awaiting arrival of the transmission, clutch, and axles, driveshaft and hubs before I can take some vacation to go install this stuff at Bretts. But I am sure we will get some pics taken and keep everyone posted. I am in need of a clutch alignment tool if anyone has one I could borrow please. Oh and I decided to go with the inline pro kit as it upgrades the whole driveline and not just the diff like puddy mod. Those Puddy mod diffs are amazing but I would have needed to buy axles and a driveshaft separate. Thanks for stopping in everyone and I will keep you posted.

did you already get teh IP diff kit? I have been a big fan of the ford 8.8 kit. The ford diff is much more "configurable". It is nearly impossible to find different ring/pinions for the nissan diff and upgraded LSD's for the nissan diff are stupid $$$ where the oem ford trac-loc works great and is $300 brand new, not to mention any final drive you want is $2-300

Since you're here in raleigh you could come check mine out.

Looks awesome Eric.

I have a clutch alignment tool you can borrow. I'll bring it to VIR and give it to Brett. Now I just need to write myself a reminder.

My clutch alignment tool isn't worth that much

But yes, the Chris install time on that list of items is probably better measured in months.
