Updated the first post for an earlier departure and the list of those who are in.

Ron and I will leave mid-morning on Sunday. We usually like to make a couple of runs, and then head home, stopping at an awesome place called the Jarrett House in Dillsboro for lunch. (Yum!)

 

You guys come back through Dillsboro? How long of a drive from that route back to Charlotte compared with going through Asheville and back on the main highway?

 

Dillsboro is just an exit off of Hwy 74, headed towards Asheville, so it's not out of the way at all.

 

Update: I have just been assigned to a project in Tennessee for a couple months, so I'll be driving to the Dragon on 4/20 from Chattanooga.

This means I have "officially" turned over the organization of this caravan to my wonderful man, RON!

Hey....that means you will be a bit closer to the Dragon for a couple of months ...you could wear it out....every weekend !!!

Important (to me) update! MyBride has changed my carefully calculated plans and we will now be driving to Charlotte Thursday morning from Salisbury. That's right. We'll be getting into Charlotte during the morning rush hour. I know you guys will wait on us if we're late.

We can wait maybe five extra minutes. After that, you will be cutting into too much Dragon Time.

 

I may have to head up to the Dragon on Wednesday instead of Thursday. If I do, who wants to volunteer to lead the Thursday caravan?

Also, has anyone thought of any place to meet & eat?

Anna and I are leaving "hella-early" on Thursday morning...wonder if anyone can figure a good meeting point. We plan to leave around 4:30ish-5ish AM. Maybe somewhere on 40???

 

The earliest I'm going to get away (from Asheboro) is about 12:00PM Thursday...and that may be stretching things, a bit.

So...I may be running solo up to the Dragon...Thursday afternoon. I initially was looking at leaving Friday morning, but with so many of the 'team' going up earlier, then I feel like I need to be there sooner.
