So scary, and so sad.

 

I'm a big NASCAR fan and I know alot of the Cup teams are based in Charlotte.I feel bad enough that anybody was killed but the blow would be double if I hear someone on that flight was somehow involved with NASCAR.

 

Two Graduate students from Clemson's computer science department were on the flight. Although I wouldn't say I 'know' either of them, I recognize their names from my brief stint in grad school. Sad sad sad. Prayers out to the CS deptartment.

 

I do some business with folks at RBC Centura Investment Banking in Charlotte. Hope none of them were involved.

 

That sux. I'll light a candle for them tonight.

 

I took off on a turbo prop for Cincy late Tuesday and came back to CLT yesterday afternoon on one. It was a bit unnerving, especially since we had to circle CLT for an hour. They were down to one runway so it took a while to land.

It was distressing to see the emergency lights on the runway and the sympathy flowers at the USAirways counter. How very sad.

 

Any further info on this?
