Default clutch install in the carolinas

Anyone know any shops which are familiar with the S2k which can give a great rate on installing an s2000 clutch? i need to have it done soon. hit me up if you have any suggestions. I dont mind driving a few hours to get it done if it will be quality work at a great price.

A fellow SCCA racer installed my S2K's Comptech Flywheel & ACT Clutch.

Ask for Rex.

His price was more than fair. He did say it took every bit of the ASE Certified Installation hours. Things are tight in there & I believe he said to do it right the motor needs to be lifted a bit.

i don't doubt that, i was looking through the fsm at work the other day, since i need to replace my clutch fairly soon it seems like, and some of the steps included removing the intake box, the entire exhaust, and some hoses and wires off the engine, (at that point i stopped reading) so i don't doubt that its a lengthy process ,.. anyways, i'd love to find out where you end up getting it done

The service manager at Burlington Honda drives an S, and I've been really pleased with their service on my car.

I replaced my own clutch

It did take quite a long time and if you don't have an assortment of sockets and extensions you may end up getting stuck. But for me, i enjoyed it, and the cost otherwise was way more than I was willing to give someone else to work on my car.

I had Happy Japs do it. They got me in the next day and I am now rolling with a brand spanking new ACT HD with AP1 flywheel and AP1 slave cyl. Freaking best mod ever.

Glad to hear it, Rex is a great guy.

BTW, did you see the huge Piston & Connecting Rod in his lobby? I think it's from a train engine.
