Well, I guess this explains the check engine light....Looks like it's time for a test pipe. And why in the world are downstream o2 sensors so expensive!

Mine did the same thing at the dragon in 2012...test pipe FTW!

I have an O2 sensor for cheap. I need to check if it's up- or down-stream.

Also, I found a test pipe on eBay that allows the O2 sensor to function without CEL for around $80.

Hey Will,

I appreciate the thought. I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure the downstream o2 sensor for the ap1, ap2v1, and ap2 dbw are all different (don't ask me why). What's more, looks like the downstream sensor for the ap2 is about $100 more expensive. I'm going to take a gamble and go with an aftermarket sensor...especially since it's emissions only and won't affect performance.

Also I'm going with a Berk test pipe for $99....getting the 70mm just in case for when I get an exhaust one day

You can keep the cat and do the spark adapter trick. It pulls the tip of the sensor up out of the cat.

Thanks SgtB...that's actually something I hadn't thought of. I'll probably still use it as an excuse to run a test pipe

Downstream sensors are wideband starting in 2004 which is why they are more expensive. the cheap ones will not work.

I'll have to look in my storage unit, I used two spark plug defoulers from auto zone and drilled out the one to fit the o2 sensor. Than you screw in the o2 sensor and screw in the defilers into each other and costs you like $10 bucks to make

Hey man hopefully you get the O2 situation figured out, I personally have the Berk 70mm test pipe with one drilled out spark plug defouler and no CELs. Also wanted to post a video from last weekend with you guys.
