Completely agree. I ran stock pads on my first event and they melted, then ran 8's front and rear which made the rear end really unstable under braking due to the stock brake bias. My 12/10 combo was great at Roebling, curious to see how it does next weekend at Road Atlanta with more and harder braking zones.

In a single day at CMP I took a new set of XP12s from brand new to the backing plate. And literally melted the reservoir cap in the process.

See that's kinda scary. To the point it was sloshing out of the res?

I've run 3-4 days at CMP and the OEM fronts last, the rears...well...dont

Oh and dont try and change your pads 20 minutes off track...you MIGHT snap a caliper bolt!

No, luckily the seal was maintained. The cap looked mangled though.

At the time I had stainless lines, XP12 front / XP10 rear, super blue fluid.

Now I run stop tech front bbk with ducting and titanium pad backing plates, pagid RS19 front pads, various rear pads and castrol SRF.

Years on the forum and I only posted pics once for a FS thread.

I'll have to remind myself how to do it. For some reason I remember it being a PITA.
