Ok, I will.

They do look like Prodrives, but they're stock wheels off of a '97 NSX.
Did I mention I was extremely tired when I was there?

That would make more since because I was unaware of any prodrives coming in offsets that would fit our cars well, but then I don't know much about them.

So are your wheels are 16" front 17" rear? Interesting...

They're 16x7 +55 front and 17x8.5 +60 rear. With any resonable street tire, they won't rub even with a lowered car. I had a pretty hefty drop and was rubbing the edges of the wheel arches front and rear, but I'm running r-compounds in 245/45/16's on the front and 275/40/17's on the rear. I raised my coilovers up to about 30mm lower than stock and have no problems with them rubbing.

[QUOTE=44Runner,May 22 2006, 02:28 PM]Congrats to you.

If I'm not mistaken that is you standing by the truck in the first picture.

I would very much like to run an AutoX in the S simply because I haven't done one in it yet.

do you ever have any ABS problems with this setup? I imagine the difference is too little but just curious..

Yep, that's me by the truck, hands in pockets.

We'll definitely continue to post the event flyers here. We had a lot of S2000's this weekend, and it's always good to see more. It's a great car for this sport!

Just so ya know, the next event is June 10th, in Columbia at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. Link
Yes, please continue to post them. Unfortunately I am working the 10th (of course). Maybe the next one, lol. My work schedule doesn't allow me to get heavy into the AutoX thing like I was at one point, but I would still like to come out and have fun.

How did Nick finish? I must say I was impressed with what he could do with that little 914 of his.

I haven't done any significant testing, but ABS seems to work fine. On the sandy surface at Stratford, I DNF'ed my last run because I didn't get slowed down enough after the finish and took out a couple of cones. I'm convinced that it I was just going faster and reacted too late, though. When I went out to heat-cycle the tires initially, ABS seemed normal. Also remember, that in my case, the rear tires are what would cause the problem -- I'm running tires that are 1inch taller than the fronts. With the same rims, you can get tires that end up being the same overall diameter if you pick the correct sizes. I wanted the widest tire I could get, though.

Yes you could get the same diameter tires but at the expense of a much larger side wall in the front, probably the last thing you would want, especially seeing how you drive

2nd in class / 8th overall.

That car is SO hard to drive. It's the only car I got into Saturday during fun runs and couldn't drive as fast as or better than the owner. And besides my car, I've done more runs in it than anything else out there. It handles like nothing else, but if you mess anything up, you've lost all your momentum and it's over.

I believe it. Nick makes it look easy though, I was impressed how fast he could make that thing go around the course. There were some decent drivers out there, and then some not so decent ones. Don't wanna talk bad about anyone, its just good to see them out there having fun with their cars, good or not, because that's what they're for. That little rotary powered Triumph was a trip, another one of my favorites. There were a whole lot of vette's there which kinda surprised me. I guess it is SC
