Difference from 2.0 & 2.2 liter fuel rails?
What up guys,
Got a strange question, but is there a difference between the fuel rails on a 2 liter engine and 2.2 liter engine? I am changing out my fuel rail to a polished OEM rail with a fuel gauge already tapped in it and I want to make sure there aren't any differences. I am having some problems with the swap. See this thread.

Gotta see if my Carolina peeps can help me out.

The only difference that I could find on my cars was the little gold collar that the fuel feed line sits in under the dampener. That guy only serves as a locating attachment to prevent the fuel feed line from twisting side-to-side on the rail. I had to cut one of the tabs off of it to get my AP1 fuel feed line to fit in there.

As long as your fuel feed line and the dampener still make solid contact with the rail (don't forget the washers), then it won't hurt anything to leave that gold bracket off. I'd just swap the new rail in and see if you can get a tight fit without the bracket.

I knew that gold bracket wasn't on the polished rail I have. It must have come off of an AP1. I'm going to try to swap them out and just leave that bracket off. There aren't any holes for that bracket on the polished rail so I don't have a choice but to leave it off. I'll update everyone.
Got the now rail in last night. Seems to be working great. No leaks that I have found. Fuel gauge reading about 35-38 during idle and looks great!
Thanks for the input guys!
