Dynoed trhe S2k
Had my 2006 S2k dynoed at Japanese Auto Specialists in Greenville, SC on 6/6.
Bill has a very nice setup using an inground Dynocom dyno and big screen tv to show the results.
It was a very hot afternoon but I was very pleased with the numbers.
Best of 3 runs was 235.1 HP @ 7900 RPM and 161.8 ft-lbs TQ @ 7100 RPM.
My mods are:
Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust (60 mm)
Invidia Test Pipe (60mm)
K&N FIPK Intake
Flashpro Tune w/ 4100 RPM VTEC and 8200 Redline
I am not sure if this Dyno is reading a little high, but a few months ago I had my car dynoed in a Dynojet (TDC auto) and it put down 215.71 HP and 157.28 ft-lbs of TQ. At that time I only the had Tanabe Medalion Exhaust and a Stock Tuned Flashpro Calibration loaded.
It really doesn't matter to me if it reads high or not since I am using it as a baseline for my future mods.
Will post both Dynocharts later for reference.
Thanks!

Good piece of advise. when you do your modds, get a base line first then modd one at a time. that way you can determine if it was worth it. i did this with an overall gain of 23 hp. do a modd, dyno it do anther ,dyno it. 235 hp sounds high, but if its correct---nice! you will get different readings from other dynos. thats why it pays to stick to one dyno shop for all your modds. 235.... impressive! 215 sounds more realistic.

Originally I was not planing on doing much modding, and TDC was doing a DYno Day for just $20 for 3 runs. That is the main reason I used them.
However, soon after that the mod bug bit me and and I started doing a few more things to the car.
Then I felt the curiosity about how much power I gained, but TDC in Spartanburg seemed a little far, so I decided to switch to this new Jap Auto place.
Regardless of the difference in dynos, you can observe the difference in the graphs in terms of mid-range power. Both TQ and HP are a lot more linear after the upgrades with almost no noticeable valley. I attribute this to the Test Pipe and the change in Tune.
Below are the dyno charts.
Dyno 1: Dynojet @ TDC Auto, Spartanburg, SC
Date: February 16, 2011 (Cold Weather)
Mods: Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust, Flashpro Stock Tuned Calibration Loaded with VTEC point set to 5300 RPM.
Dyno 2; Dynocom at Jap Auto. Greenville, SC
Date: June 6, 2011 (Hot Weather)
Mods: Tanabe Medalion Touring Exhaust. Invidia Test Pipe, K&N FIPK intake, Flashpro TODA Calibration loaded with VTE point set to 4100 RPM
NOtice that this graph starts at 2000 RPM.
Thanks.

With different dynos, and way different ambient temps between Feb and June, you can't really make any conclusions about power. The only way to know is add parts between back-to-back runs on the same dyno and to check for changes and see how combinations work or not.

dynocom's are notoriously high.. there is one near raleigh thats funny... stock gsr's put down 185 and civic's that make 230hp run mid 13's
there are alot of way to mess with the numbers on a dynacom, if you want consistent numbers stick w/the dynojet. there are no options and no real variables to the setup
