I just wanted to post and encourage anyone that is "on the fence" to go ahead and register for Fall Colors!!! The other group leaders and I ran the course yesterday, and it's a beautiful drive with lots of fun roads. Some of us ran it again today. Antrim Way Honda, Rick and all his volunteers are going all out to make this a great event. I can't wait until October!!!! The last estimate was around 90 registered cars, and they are going to close registration when it hits 120, so hurry up!!!! If anyone wants to go, but doesn't want to drive, I've got an empty passenger's seat and a room at the plaza with 2 doubles -- I'd be happy to have a co-pilot/photographer!
The course is great and it is gonig to be a fantastic event.
The clinics provide plenty of opportunity to learn new things
and hanging out with so many cool people just makes better.
You really should go ahead and make the hotel reservation ASAP. I just saw where the hotel has made a few more rooms available. If you can't go I am certain you could unload that reservation, because someone will want it. Or just cancel it. Also the event registration fee is refundable up to a week before the meet date.
Not sure how all folks will be travelling up to Fall Colors, but I certainly invite the Carolinas' S2000 Owners that are attending FC '03 to consider meeting up with folks from the Mid-A area as you head north to the event .
Here is a link to offer if you'd like to chime in for having us try to coordinate a rolling gathering of FC '03 participants .
Oh, and to whet your appetites, here are some pics I took (during the Group Leaders FC '03 Pre-Run) of some of the roads you'll be enjoying during Fall Colors '03:
I think you will have two main groups from the carolinas. One will go via 85/95 (95 from Richmond). These will be the Central and East Carolina folks. The other group will go via I81. These will be the SC and Charlotte folks.
