Default Ferrari vs Smart

The Smart car is a low powered get around town midget car. I saw a bunch of these in Europe this summer but I never saw one that could do this.
Of course, everyone knows about Ferrari.

What am I missing? Are we talking a power to weight ratio advantage or am I just the most naive son of a Bi$$$ on this planet?

Smart with a GXSR motor putting out about 180 HP.

About three times the power (61HP) that the car comes with, if I remember correctly.
