Most shops charge roughly about 800 to 1200$ to change the tops. i charge 400$ and can do it it in 6 hours by myself. done quite a few. pm me if your interested.

No offense to you Yellow Jacket, but I will be doing the work myself. I but rarely let anyone else work on my car.

Here's the tool list from the installation guides I have collected:


Phillips screwdriver
Flathead screwdriver
10mm, 12mm, &14mm sockets and ratchets with extension
10 and 14mm wrenches
Rivet gun
Small sideways ratcheting screwdriver (usually $10 at home depot)
Drill and bits
Razor/knife

I have all these tools for anyone who does the work at my place.

Just make sure NOT to try and take the roll hoop covers off - they don't go back together! Remove the roll hoops as an assembly with the covers still in place, or you'll be replacing them, like I did last month.

Believe it or not, you don't have to remove the roll hoops. or the console. i only remove the seats and the rear trays and side covers. to each on how you do it.
