Default Gauging interest in drives around Raleigh/Durham

So trying to see how many folks would be interested in drives and if there are any that could lead drives. If you are able to lead a drive, if you could include details on the route.

Interested:

1. caraficionado (could lead a drive, #1 - Falls Lake (1 hr, 50 mi), #2 - Jordan Lake/Pittsboro/Chapel Hill (2 hrs, 80 mi)
2. mposner305 (could lead a drive, route details)
3. batguano
4. Pinky
5. ofsalesman
6. LZeitgeist
7. Short
8.
9.
10.

Tentative Drive Schedule: 8/26
1. Planning late September
2. After Cars and Coffee @ Morrisville - October 1st

I'll create a separate thread once I know the details

We did have drives after C&C for a while until some guys started showing off and nearly caused an accident. That's when the drives ended. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Important to lay down some rules if we have the drives.

I would be interested but groups of 8 or less and any showboating or dangerous behaviors would need to be immediately confronted. My $0.02

I'm interested but only if people act mature. I recall the drives in the past where people were spinning out in front of traffic. Definitely made our group look good that day...

Updated first post with replies so far!

Agreed that if there is a drive that there would be rules in place to prevent incidents from occurring.

I agree with the others. I'm more about enjoying the scenery and twisty roads vs testing the limits of my car.

Here is the drive I take from time to time.

I'm interested, but would need lead time for scheduling, the more the better. Life is pretty busy these days.

I also agree that shenanigans should be of the non-existent variety.
