Anyone know a lot about hatteras? Hows the surf? I am planning a trip there and was just wondering a few things.

 

Hatteras is a fantastic place for surfing, fishing, eating, goofing off, kite flying, and just about everything else!

Caution! If you're gonna be there anytime soon, take bug repellant! They're relentless!

 

That's awesome. Me and about 7-8 guys are planning to go down there surfing. We will be sleeping in tents on the beach... All hell is going to break loose

 

All in the Rover? Or some other cars too? Enjoy! You'll love it.

 

I was there all last week on vacation. Great place! The only time we had problems with bugs was on a nature walk in the wetland area. We asked for it. We actually stayed in Avon. While you're there you have to go to the Orange Blossum for breakfast in Buxton, right near the lighthouse. Also eat at Down Under in Salvo. I've heard the Froggy Dog is good be we didn't make it there. If you go to Ocracoke, hit the pelican for the $.15 shrimp. Also take some kite boarding lessons if you can. Where exactly are you staying?

Down under and Froggy dog were pretty good, we stayed a week just north of Avon in Salvo. Bugs were not bad but I did sandwhich a jellyfish between my stomach and a boogie board OW!!!!

 

Thanks you guys!!! i dont think I will be going this weekend cause some of my friends want to turn it into an illegal party if you know what I mean, instead of a surfing trip, and I am not down so I think me and some of my TRUE surfing friends will go another weekend.
