Clip from WRAL.com concerning Aggressive Driving Crackdown:

Troopers Plan Another Aggressive Driving Crackdown

The Highway Patrol is conducting another speed reduction and aggressive driving crackdown.

The next one is scheduled for Friday on Interstate 40/85 in Orange, Alamance, Guilford and Randolph counties.

Troopers will be using Camaros, unmarked patrol vehicles, motorcycles and helicopter units for the latest campaign. During the last crackdown on Interstate 95, 487 citations were handed out. Nearly 350 of those tickets were for speeding.

Not that any of us drive fast.....

I got stopped by Billy Bob Trooper outside of Marshville a couple of weeks back. I knew no amount of charming personality and glamorous good looks would work when his first words were "so honey, where you think your goin in such a hurry." I'm surprised he didn't undo his holster snap for a more dramatic affect. I think he had watched too many Walker, Texas Ranger episodes.

Sadly, it was not even a respectable ticket: 59 in a 45, and in my husbands Lexus RX300 too!

I suggest the return of the *Hesel*13*... we can over-power them

Similar crackdowns if not heavier are in-effect here in Charlotte. I saw four troopers and around six city cars on the way home tonight and it's only a twelve mile drive.
Much of it can be chalked up to the retarded driving people have been doing through the i77/i85 construction zone....now they feel a heavy crackdown is the only alternative.

Thanks for the heads-up folks! I made it through A-OK. Boy, you have got to finish that construction on I-40 already.
