Default honda recall

just read about huge recall on Hondas and a few other car makers for exploding airbags due to humidity and heat. these bags are equipped with inflaters that when activated send shrapnel at the driver and passenger. supposedly 3.9 million vehicles are effected. it was a pretty lengthy article on this. if I read this right cars as far back as 2000 are effected. i'm leary of taking my S to a dealer for the recall for the fact some asshole tech may take it out for a joy ride or damage my car. it will be interesting to see how this recall will effect us S owners. what are your thoughts on this?

I did a little searching and below is what I found.

"Honda is recalling roughly 1.02 million Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Element models In North America, built between April 2000 and October 2002."

I was just searching for what models would be involved with the recall.

The article I read on Jalopnik included the same, Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Element models, but from 2000-2005. Regardless, it looks like S2000's are in the clear...for now.

I just returned from having a seatbelt buckle replaced under warranty on my son's 2004 civic. I inquired about the airbag recall, and his civic is in the clear, and I gave them the vin for my S2000, and it is also not impacted.
