I did it! on my civic Si 2000 which rated 24/28, I got 38 miles per gallon out of it... it was a lot of self control... I did not vtec a single time and driving speed limit with cruise as much as possible. on my way to work it is 1 miles of 25mph and then 35mph to the highway, 65 mph from there for 23 miles. 35 mph for less than 1 mile to the office building.

I tried to do that with the S2000 but fail too many time because i cannot resist the vtec sensation... I think I will continue to drive my civic daily and keep my S for VTEC on the weekend.

If you see a 2000 black Civic Si with Greddy Exhaust, no visual mod but SiR sign on both sides behind the doors, driving exactly speed limit on I40, that's me
