Why don't you just take it back to the installer and make them fix it?

becuase called honda... they said no possible way one of their "trained" techs would cross threaded a sensor... when i purchased car from another dealer they sent me to honda to have o2 sensor replace and they paid for it... that was in feb, since then i never had a need to get the o2 sensor out, till this past week..

Ah, I see...I just had mine replaced last week after a failed cat. ate my o2 sensor. Thankfully it was all under warranty though.

At any rate, gl with the fix. Could you use an anti-fouler to just fix the problem?

Is this the O2 that is in the cat? If that was X threaded, you may need a new cat as well.

Just run a tap through the bung before you screw in the new sensor. Stripped out sensors are super common. Probably 4 of 10 I replace are stripped. Tap size is 18mm x 1.5. I would recommend an oem sensor as well. We've had lots of issues with aftermarket or different than oem sensors on a variety of different cars. Some show no issues with off brand sensors and some will set cels almost immediately. Always best to use factory parts if possible. If you were in greenville i'd let you borrow the tap, but it shouldn't be hard to find. Good luck. Oh and good choi e letting evans tune the car. He did my turbo car couldnt be happier.
