Turkey is a beautiful country, and Istanbul is one of the most beautiful and interesting cities in the world. The people there are for the most part friendly, but their customs are quite different.

Shopping can be fun once you get over the way merchants try to get your business. They stand outside their shops and try their best to get you to go in. Its a little intimidating at first, but once you are able to brush it off it can be fun.

Nice pictures! Looks like you had a blast. Wish I could make it to Greece someday.

How was Rome?? Im going to be over there in about a week and was wondering whether or not I should be carrying around a DSLR for 10 hours before I catch my train to Sicily.

Thanks for the advice, and I'll be sure to share. I plan on visiting only two or three major tourist venues while Im in Rome. The rest of the time I will be checking out some of Rome's hidden attractions and sampling the cuisine. The Trevi Fountain is one of my main goals, but I want to go at night just for the photography.
