Thumbs down

It has been discussed as a location for a S2K meet few times, I'm disappointed that we never made it to Charleston so here it goes w/Myrtle Beach.

HERE IS THE PLAN........

Meet at 9AM Saturday July 17th @ McAlisters Deli - College Road Wilmington across from UNCW.

Drive thru downtown Wilmy to take a few pics & wake up the place, then head South thru semi-twisties in Brunswick County. Then we'll take the 270 degree Hwy 9 to 31 Bypass On-Ramp (eliminating much of the the stop & go of Hwy 17) to Olive Garden. The drive should take about 2 hours and we'll arrive just in time for lunch.

Here is the address for those who are coming from other directions. Plan to be there around 12:00 (Noon).

As much as I want to have a meet in Charleston (my second city) do we really want to do it in July????

I only survive during those months by staying on the water. Unless we follow the example of our UBoat commander, it would be Hot!

Maybe somewhere in the foothills where it might be cooler? We could save Charleston for the Fall.

Of course, Sheila just reminded me that the SuperMeet is in July and we

Here's my suggestion. We could meet in Wilmington, cruise to Myrtle Beach, and eat at the Olive Garden. They have lot of new highways. If you haven't been in a while it's always nice to see how fast Myrtle Beach is changing. Has any body seen the changes they have made to the old Air Forse Base, wow! We could make reservation to one of the nicest japanese steak houses around, Myobi Kyoto's.

The date............. ? Any time.

Well, that's my idea.

Sounds good to me........my vote is for Olive Garden since not one in Wilmy yet.
That 270 degree on-ramp to the Hwy31 South Bypass would be fun for convoy of VTECing S2000's ......

I'm sorry but I'm have no desire to go to Dicks when ther eare so many great restaurants in the area.

How about traffic in MB in July? I haven't been there in a couple of years so I don't know how the new highways have helped the situation. Can somebody give us an up to date report?

Yeah, I get ribbed enough by you guys (and gals). No need to have folks perform the same, because it's their job.

Geeeezzz. . .memories. I remember back when I worked with Sprint PCS and our VP took us to Dick's Last Resort. Whew, HR nightmare for sure. We all wore hats that had non-approved HR comments. OMG!

Ha, you and those on-ramps. I still remember that request after the AutoX in New Bern.

BTW, Wilmy, then Myrtle Beach sounds awesome to me. Let's DO IT!

How about one of these days............

10, 11,17,18 July?

Traffic is not really an issue, with all the new highways. Trust me! I've been to Myrtle Beach during some of there busiest holiday traffic with no problem getting around. I had a lot of fun exploring the on/off ramps.

Com'on yall................ Lets meet, eat, and drive! or Meet, drive, and eat.
