I believe Shiela used to work here in the IT department on a contract basis for a bit (I think?), her contact actually just got promoted - so yay for that!

 

BB&T has several IT jobs open. You can search them via BBandT.com. Most of the IT jobs are in Wilson, Raleigh and Charlotte. Some may be flexible in where the job is actually housed meaning you may be able to work out of Charlotte for a "Raleigh" job.

BB&T does have many people working out of an office near them, while their boss or teammates may be somewhere else. In general though they are supposedly in a hiring freeze at the moment although that may just be here in Raleigh or Wilson. Those things are never quite clear to me. I know of some open positions that definitely were cancelled.

A friend with connections in Charlotte tells me things are hopping over there so hopefully you will find something soon enough. Good luck!!
