Looking for a good job
I've been looking for a job for a little while now and thought I would ask you guys. I'm a recent college grad with a wide variety of experience from video editing/shooting, to map building with ARCGIS, and even computer and electronics software/hardware knowledge.
Lately I've looked for a serving/valet job but it doesn't seem like anyone is looking for any help and those that are have hundreds of applicants. I seem under qualified for some and overqualified
I take A LOT of pride in my work no matter how insignificant it is. I feel that anything I do is a representation of who I am. Ideally I would like a job dealing with networking or computers but I am open to anything including but not limited to clerical/admin and apprenticeships.
So if anyone has heard of anything or if anyone is looking for someone please let me know.
Thanks guys.
Seth

Sorry to hear Seth...things are rough out there for sure.
With GIS experience, I would be looking at state, county and city government websites for openings in that area. Include the water districts in that search as well. Plus in Florida, check out the Marine Institute.
You might also try to find out who google, mapquest, yahoo, Garmin, Magellan, etc contract with to keep their maps up to date. I would imagine there are multiple contractors that service those companies and ones like them.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Honestly I don't think I have the personality for the military or Sheriff/Detention Deputy.
negcamber, thanks for the ideas. I started looking at companies that work a lot with GIS software and it has opened up more possibilities for me. In all reality if there was a company that would be willing to take me on for a networking, GIS, or any career type job I would be willing to work for free/internship as long as they would give me a chance down the line.
