hey i need some input i have a bike and my parnets dont want me to have it. they told me that if i get rid of the bike that they would help me get a dry carbonfiber hard top. i was going to see what some of yall would do.. keep the bike or get the hard top..... please give ur info on this

I deduce that the bike costs less than the hard top. Otherwise you could have bought it yourself instead of the bike.

In any case I'd say "don't do it". On the one side it is meddling on their part. On the other side may end up with the misguided expectation that you can get things from them if you do something they don't like. Get a hard top today in exchange for the bike; get a house in a couple of years in exchange for dumping the trailer trash drug addicted girlfriend of tomorrow (FYI: IT is an example. I don't know your gf !!!)

yea understand that.. na the bike cost more than the hardtop i just got the a cwest hood and that was a good bit of change.. and this would be my thrid bike this yr. b/c one got stole and the other totaled but i see where they come from when they dont want to see me get hurt. but i see ur point to...

I'd rather have a hardtop then a bike but that's just me. You've got to do what's right for you; if you are a bike fan and you love your bike, why part with it?

Having owned bikes in my teens I can relate to the "don't get hurt" part. But in the end it is your bike/money. What is the point of living if you are always being bribed/controlled.

But since you totalled a bike already, maybe you are not as good a rider as you may think and you may be better off not having one. But your decision should be based upon self examination and not on your parents waving some greens in front of you.

na i can ride i just love doing stunts and one lil mistake can cost u big just by doing a high chair wheel at 70 mph and come down and tap front brake a lil to hard that isnt koo..
