Dude that sucks. I can't even think about something like that happening.

Do you guys think all this bad news is because the lack of traction control on the AP1s?

 

It certainly isn't helping. Both Craig's S and this S could have benefited from traction control in the situations they were in.

 

My accident was 99% driver. I was going over a concrete overpass thingy, and I hit the black ice. The car lost traction and swung to the right. I countersteered, throttle steered, and held the slide, and had it under control, and was about to let off the throttle to straighten the car back out, when the surface changed back to asphalt, and the tires gripped.

What was a controlled slide was now overcorrection, and before I could even register what happened, my slip angle was beyond saving. I went for the oh shit 2 feet in (clutch/brake), but at that point it was too late, and I hit the guard rail.

I don't blame weather, I don't blame lack of VSC. I just wasn't fast enough to react.

 

The only traction control that works on ice is hang on this is going to get interesting! rain, yeah it would have probably help.
