Default Money shifted 😔

I'm rather heart-broken. I was at VIR on Thursday, and in the first session, I shifted to 2nd instead of 4th. I was near rev-limiter in 3rd and according to Harry's Lap Timer, it went to 11,722 after the shift. I don't know the full extent of the damage, but I pulled the valve cover, and at least 3 valve retailers are off the springs, and one rocker arm is missing. No visible holes in block and no leaks. Most likely going to replace it first, and I might rebuild if it can be salvaged within reasonable limits.

So, if anyone has an F20 or F22+transmission looking for a new home, let me know.

We're definitely rebuilding it.

Dang Will I hate to hear that. I've done the same thing a long time ago at VIR except it was in an AP2 and I was lucky enough to not be as close to the red line. Since then I forced myself to relearn my shift technique so that my 3rd to 4th shift is done with my palm facing away from me. Hoping you can get back out there soon and for not too much money.

I was there for it. Sad day, but Will did get to ride with me on a session and give me some pointers about VIR. That was helpful, Will! Sorry about the motor bro.

Start thinking about buying a salvage car with lower miles. I can just be for parts but I will speak from first hand experience. If you get it for the right price you could make your money back and possibly then some! Not that I ever want to see a frame go to the scrap heap and thus the car will never be on the road again but its' heart........can beat on in another!

There's an 07 LPB that took a rear impact for sale in Bedford, VA. Front end, motor, and interior all look to be in pretty good shape. I think they are asking $5,900 or something. If you decide to go this route, this might be an option to make a large chunk of your money back.
