Well, it looks like we are going to be moving to Chicago in the next few months. Not quite sure how I feel about it, I lobbied for Dallas personally. I just hate the cold weather in Chicago! Its a fun city, and I love to visit, but the weather sucks!

Anyway, its a great opportunity for Bryan. It gives him the #2 market and if he does well, it will put him on the fast track with his company so to speak.

And the plus side is we will be able to live in a cool hi-rise condo in the city with tons of stuff to do. But the weather is going to suck!

And since the S lease is up at the end of June I may look to get something more practical for city life. Parking is a premium in the city, plus, did I mention this before (?) the weather sucks and not good for driving the S around in.

All in all, I'm excited about going but its going to be hard to leave friends here. However, its going to be a cool place for you all to visit! Maybe you can plan a Chicago in the Summertime Meet!

Did I mention how bad the weather sucks?

 

Wow, I kind of hate to hear that news in a selfish kind of way. I am happy for the opportunity that it presents you two and the excitement of a new place. Hopefully, you two will be able to spend more time together. That

Kalan...look on the bright side...the weather only 'sucks' about 7 months of the year...otherwise it's pretty nice.

I have such mixed feelings hearing this....so very happy for you and Bryan and the opportunity it presents, and so very to lose my best S2Kgirlfriend! Who else will be able to talk high heels and transmission fluid with equal zest?

Chicago really is a very cool place, and since my company is headquartered there, maybe I can scare up a visit or two. Besides...I know you guys will be back for lots of Charlotte visits with Bryan's family and all, but still........it just won't be the same without you here.

So....we'd better make the best of this spring and early summer. One helluva going-away party? Count on it!
