Default My New Toy

I have wrestled with trying to get my S high enough to work underneath.

Last week I ran the car up on ramps and then tried to jack it higher for the stands. I couldn't get it high enough to move it off the ramps.

Frustration mounts.
I decided to spring for a new jack. One that will lift the car up 17.5". Now I can do all the things I need to to get it ready for the WTD event.
Oh the joy!

The first pic looks like I have a scrape on the fender but that is only a reflection.

Now, life is better.

Here is a link if anyone is interested.

I have the same jack, and its great for lowered cars. I have already went through 3 of them through, make sure that you always put a jack stand or bricks under the car when you are working under there. Once it gave out while I was under the car, it slowly came down, but still you don't want to be caught under there and take a chance. The jack will last as long as you don't keep the car up for long periods of time. I left my car jacked for two days and the jack broke. Just some advice.

Glad you listed this very important step. Put the care on solid jack stands before climbing underneath. Bat, would that jack get the car high enough to get my 42" waist and belly under the car?
Can you say INHALE DEEPLY?

Seriously, I have a 42 also. It will work. And you don't have to look like this guy

Good choice in jacks. I have one from Harbour Freight thats blue and it helps so much. Today I probably lifted and lowered my car about 6 times while changing my diff and trans fluid. Aluminum racing jacks + jack stands =

I think this is the same one they sell at Harbor Freight. Just a different name.

I found it only takes 6 strokes to get it to max height. It's going to be a lot of help.

Oh, and all you wise guys out there. Don't make jokes about the strokes. I can see that coming. Coming? (sp)
