Insurance is out the ass on the EVO. I have a perfect record, no moving violations, and I am 22. Before any small discounts its $1650 EVERY SIX MONTHS! I have worked it down to roughly $1250, but still it kills me! Its nice, I miss the S.
Plus:
More power, better brakes, amazing aftermarket support, 4 doors, and a decent sized trunk.
Minus:
Eats gas, expensive to insure, expensive to upkeep (brakes, clutches, etc), no top down on great days, no more easy drifting around corners, huge rice wing, expensive aftermarket goodies, no AWD dyno's in the upstate, MOST Evo owners are young rich douche bag kids, and eats eats eats the inside of the front tires. 10K on summer tires and looking to replace fronts soon!

Sounds like a good price Eric, but you REALLY have to look out for Evo's because 90% of those cars that have ANY single mod to them have been BEAT on. Just browse through the EVo forums and you will see what I am talking about.

Any ideas on why? I found a silver evo 9 with 12000 miles for 23000 today. It has aem emanage, cat back exhaust, I forget what brand intercooler, and a few other little odds and ends. Good price?
I miss my Evo. It was an awesome car. A lot more durable than most people think if treated properly. I tracked mine a lot. I would be very careful about a used one as there are a lot of back to stock one floating around. Good luck and it is a great car.
I love my RS. Alignment is designed for handling and nothing else screw tire wear.
PS My Evo 9 RS has crank windows, manual door locks, no sun roof, aluminum roof, no sound deadening, gutted trunk, no radio, no cruise control, no ABS, great 5 speed tranny, front and rear LSD's, and no wing. I think that is mostly everything. With the aftermarket stuff I am close to 300 lbs lighter than a stock Evo IX MR.
