Cool New NC Enthusiast

Greetings! I've been wanting to get into an S2000 for about 7 years, and I took this deployment as an opportunity to finally buy one. I bought an '03 silverstone w/ red leather and 40k miles. I've already started stockpiling parts to install when I get back home. I'll be home in Fayetteville from Sept. 5 to Oct. 5, and then I'm shipping the car over to Germany with me.

I've already picked up:

The Invidia dual with testpipe and CEL fix. (Bleeding ears FTW!)
SSR Type F's in flat black (waiting until spring in Germany to install)
Rick's Voodoo shift knob
New Alpine HU, Amp, and Sub with box, and Infinity door speakers.

I'm looking for a shop to do the sound system install, as I'm trying to maximize my leave before going to Germany. Can anyone reccomend a good shop in Fayetteville/Raleigh?

Also, I want to get some preventative maintenance done on the car before I'm in Germany (transmission fluid, diff. fluid, timing belt, general tune-up). Can anyone reccomend an S2000 or Honda-specific shop? I'm looking for someone that knows the car, and I'm always skeptical of dealers.

Thanks for any help guys. and I'm glad to finally be a part of the community!

I would suggest you contact GrandMasterKhan. He has the sources and can do some of the work.

PM him and I know he will be back to you ASAP.

Glad to have you aboard. Come join us at the dragon in September.

I hooked up with GrandMasterKhan about the audio install, thanks for the tip!

PyMpShYt, I've got the other installs covered, exhaust and wheels are too easy. I've got to wait till spring in Germany for the wheels anyways, and I need the stock exhaust for inspection in Germany as well. Thanks though dude!

Any tips on a shop for the maintenance, or will the local Honda dealer be fine?

And when is the next DBR?

DBR is supposed to be Sept 17-29 but registration is still pending.

See you there ?

Holy Christ, I'm sorry about the timing belt thing. I'm really really new to the car, lol. I figured it was like most other Honda's, with a belt. Sorry about the noob mistake.

I'll do my very very best to make it out to DBR, it's been about 3 years since I've had a chance. Is there a certain day for the S2000's? I'm going to try to bring my 280zx out there as well.

What part of Germany are you going to? Im currently stationed at Ramstein AB. Where did you deploy to? I did the exact same thing, I just got back about a month ago. Let me know the dates for DBR, I am getting stationed at Moody AFB in Georgia. I will have some leave saved up to go.

I've been stationed in Illesheim/Stork barracks since early 2007, then we headed to Basra, Iraq, and now i'll be back in Illesheim until 2012.
