I'm quessing there are just not enough Lotus's imported to support a large number of aftermarket companies/products. I personally have never checked out Ross's stuff, but his company is Sector 111... they may have stuff that I don't know about.

Very nice write-up. I have always wanted to get some honest feedback on this car. My neighbor's brother in Florida got one of these before I left and just put it up there with sliced bread, no faults. I knew it was a lot of what he was saying, but it is good to see the good with the bad.

Glad to see they will make it to the Dragon. Look forward to seeing it up close.

Off topic: Do you find the Brembo's on your car to be more responsive and worth the extra expense over stock? Opinions.

Thanks!

No, I don't notice much difference. The pedal may feel a little firmer, but that may be due to the SS brake lines.. I don't think I will feel anything different until I do some laps on a track.... I did couple of back-to-back runs on the dragon last year and got a little fade.. that will, most likely, not happen now... the answer about being worth the money... "probably not" if the car is used for primarily daily driving... I have always been in to personalization...that's one of the things I love about cars...I'm fortunate enough to be able to buy then, and I like the way they look and fit with the whole package. I will do some track events soon. I'll let you know.

Thanks for the post. I agree with you on personalization. A lot of the mods I do to my car are because of personal taste and to make the car more custom to me. The BBK is very impressive to look at! Your car has been very well put together and looking forward to future mods.

BTW: Would like to get a listen to that exhaust from inside the car one of these days.

As far as mods go.. I think I'm about done. I would love to put seats/harnesses in the car, but that would mean a roll bar. I am not sure I want to do a roll bar..

As far as "hearing the car," remind me at DBR and you can take it for spin..

Hey, about your back problem: I was looking at my seat today on my elise, and I saw what looked like a blood pressure pump. I started squeezing it, and the lower back part of the seat started inflating! I never saw this before. I have only had my car for like a week and a half. The inflation only made it less comfortable, but at least its customizable. I just think its a hilarious idea to begin with.

Oh, and about that elise up top. What exhaust and intake does he have? With all those carbon fiber body parts, Im sure he has a new exhaust at least. I want to hear it. My exhaust is loud enough, but I want it to be annoying loud. The only other thing I want is more plastic stuff so the rocks and bottoming out dont bust my paint up.

I thing this is still Ross's email... you can ask him what has been done to the car.. this is the first Elise I have ever seen, let alone driven, so I couldn't tell you what's stock and what's not.

i may. it depends on how much i can stomach investing on such a crappy investment. I want external protective stuff to put on it, but an exhaust would be nice too as well as a small turbo.
