I'm not having any luck. I'll be buying a new top in the next couple months I'm sure of it.

Scott you may wanna check with Midlands in Columbia. We had to take the Si to get the third gear grind serviced under warranty and they were awesome!
Sweet we can have a tech day bc I gotta do mine too. Guess the HT will have to stay on for a bit longer.

I took a copy of the TSB with my VIN written on it to Midlands when I had my car serviced the other day. That day, the guy said he had to talk to his manager about it and I should call back. I called back and was asking about it and they acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I gave em my VIN again and they said "well, there isn't anything showing on it" and I said "well, its a TSB, not a recall so is there anyway you could look at that and tell me where my confusion is coming from" and they said "no" and hung up.

I take back what I said about no issues. They are sending someone to inspect the work to make sure it is a legit issue. Not too big a deal but it means that now we have to wait another 3 days until the car is done...

Scotty, you may want to escalate this to Honda of America.

so heres the latest...

because my tear "isnt in the place listed on the tsb" even though all it says is right rear (which is where mine is) they wont cover it for free.

They want $500 to replace it....

but why pay money to replace it if its just gonna rub through again???

If your dealer is gunna replace your top for $500 total, then I'm going there with my 2002 for the same thing. For me with an 02, that's a deal. For an 06, I'd be talking to Honda of America for my freebie top! Swing by my place after you get your new top and I'll "wear proof" it for ya
