We had a wonderful time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I know I missed meeting some of you and for that I apologize. I'll catch you next time.
Hell ya I had a blast I'll have tons of pics this week gotta get my sister to download em to my comp and I'll post em up. It was great meeting everyone had a blast eating and driving was quite a adventureous day for me. Hope to see everyone soon!!
Folks, I had a _FANTASTIC_ time today! Thanks very much to all that made the trip and came out to our 7th Annual "After-Christmas" Pinehurst gathering. Catching up with good friends is important to starting off the new year right.
Our meeting point...we left right at 10:15am SHARP...NO DEVIATION! LOL! Thank you Lee (batguano) for organizing this meeting point for us...I really enjoyed the drive.
It's too friggin' COLD for pictures - damn!
...well, at least we know batguano was packin' HEAT on such a COLD day!
Good pic of a smart couple - stayin' warm while someone snaps a photo!
I had to fill our drive time takin' pictures and well, Lee's car was the most available!
I like this pic a lot.
The driver approves!
We spring into action - John is helping the driver here...the passenger is already removed and being helped by Pedro...
Pedro helps the passenger with his cuts...
We arrive! Pinehurst S2K Meet - 2010
The Carolina Dining Room
Me attempting to capture the "essence" of this gathering...
Thanks for getting an update Kevin...I was thinking about her yesterday as I drove home. I think she may have been making a LEFT onto 15/501 from that side road since the brunt of the impact is on the driver's side. There's a little bit of a hill there and I guess it might be easy to miss an oncoming vehicle. Of course, we all know the truck wasn't speeding - which is a blessing. I wonder if he had a full load...
The passenger said they were on their way to church and it certainly seems they were being looked after...when I ran up there, I didn't expect to see anyone alive in that car.
On the way in the caravan from Cary. Nice.
This one sneaked up on me.
Over my shoulder.
Upon seeing this, one of our veteran members commented "it's so cold, someones nuts turned blue"
It was true. Now Looter has some competition.
