HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. -- A Sanford man is dead after a Thursday night accident in Harnett County.
Troopers say Terry Poindexter was driving northbound on Barbecue Church Road south of Broadway around 10:15 p.m. Thursday when he lost control of his Honda S2000 on a curve.

Sorry to hear about this, my condolences go out to the family. Anyone know if he was a member of the carolina's club, the name doesn't sound familiar. One more sad reason why I'm not keen on taking the curves with speed. I've always been a straight line person.

Keep in mind that Version 4 is still in "Beta" status, so many of the issues or missing things are still being worked on. If you notice something, post in Site Info...."
Besides, Pointdexter is from VA.

It happened in the county that I live in and in a neighboring fire/ems district. I was working that night and heard the radio transmissions from the accident scene but was unaware that an s2000 was involved. During the time it happened there was a very strong thunderstorm and it had been downpouring for 2 1/2 hours. Many of the roads in the rural area where the wreck happened were flooded. It is not likely that he was out on a sprited run because the conditions were so awful. I don't know the year of the car or what type of tires were on it. I can only speculate that it was an inexperienced owner with worn S02's. Regardless of the circumstances it is a tragic loss.
