A good friend of mine has a 2005 TSX and the more and more I drive/ride in it, the more and more I think that will be my next DD. I am thinking of keeping the S as a toy and someday getting a 6spd TSX. Acura really made that a nice sport luxury vehicle!

We're a great group, Dave. Just think of all the years of automotive experience we bring? And I didn't mention all the incredibly valuable experience I gained rebuilding 4-barrel carbs and helping my roommate synchronize the SU carburetors on his Volvo 122. Vintage or not, cars keep you young.

Me too. Linda's (+1) TSX is auto tranny and it hits VTEC at 6000 rpm or so, then slams the rev limiter at 7100 rpm. No joy.

I talked to a co-worker today who has a 2006, 6-spd and he says it transitions at 5000. What have you found on the 6-spd that you drove?

In my '63 Ford Fairlane 500, I didn't worry about access to the oil filter - it was quite easy to STAND in the gaps in the engine bay

Times have changed.

I love swapping these stories -- I remember working on a Triumph Spitfire where the whole front bodywork tilted forward. I could sit on a front tire while I played with those pesky SU carbs.

I honestly dont remember, but I will have some more seat time in it this weekend during a trip to Charlotte.

I know it needs a short-throw shifter... at least after I've gotten so used to my S. Feels like rowing a baseball bat through a barrel full of coconuts IMHO.
