Me and my family had an se-r!! We loved that thing. It got nick named the beater bc of how beat up it got over the years but that thing kept on trucking.

Do you remember the awesome torque steer from 1st to 2nd gear? Mine felt like the steering would almost jump out of my hands when I shifted hard. Fortunately, I never got the 5th gear pop-out concern that most got, but she had some VERY noisy lifters when I sold her at 130K.

Haha yeah! Ours didn't have the 5th gear pop out either. I don't remember what year it was but it was def a fun car to drive. Let me give you a quick run down of this car lol and why we called it the beater. My middle sister knocked the passenger side mirror off with the side of the garage, the sun roof would go back but not back up, the side windows would go down but not back up, the volume on the radio would randomly go up and down, the heat and a/c would only work on high, none of the interior lights worked and i mean none, the speedometer didn't work, umm what else.. oh the trunk latch was broken on the trunk so everytime you went over a speed bump it would open and close real loud and fast, you couldn't help but laugh when it did that, the power steering went out and we never got it fixed.. I think that might be it but yeah that's why we called it the beater. It had like 200k on it when my youngest sis wrecked it and it was still going strong. That thing was awesome.

1988 Toyota Corolla SR5 Silver
1998 Ford Explorer 5.0 4D some sort of multi tone light green ( awesome color)
1999 Honda Civic LX Black (I wish I had that car as a DD)
2001 S2000 Silverstone

I wouldn't know where to go next. I would like to bump up to a clean 06 S with low miles and have the old 99 Civic LX (I loved that car. DD perfection) as a DD. I can't think of anything newer I really want to spend money on.

Not even an '08 Audi R8? LOL! I know what you mean...nothing _new_ has enough umph to get me interested in spending more than $30k. Crazy.
