Suggestions?
Coming from someone who is just learning about cars, asking questions is key, but so is actually taking the time to open the hood and learn about your car
I've also found a LOT of really useful info on the forum, seems that any question I might have has already been asked/answered.

Matt, the car is still in the same condition... not swell. It still smokes, I have this feeling once I do my V.A. things will be MUCH better. After talking with a few gearheads I know around town, I have a feeling that my valve seals are probably pretty bad off at worse case scenario. Hopefully I can get this car ready for spring. Career move is coming soon!

not to beat a dead horse or anything, but driving a 5/6speed is 100% feel. You can't really tell by looking at the gear shifter, especially in the S.

Yeah, I'm still getting use to it. I meant to meet you earlier mulder but the hassles I had prevented me. I'd really not like to get into that though because it pisses me off. Where is the closest track from here?
CMP........ but you need to learn the car first before heading to the track. Autox as well. The next events for the SCCA are in Charleston, they wont be back here until August and September. Check the SCCA-SCR website for more info. You need to familiarize yoursself with the driving charactoristics of the S2000 before getting all "go-fast" happy. This is an expensive toy to fix.
What were your previous cars?

In high school I had a 2000 chevy malibu. It sucked so much ass, but I use to party hard so hehe. Now I got the S as a gift for finishing school and I don't party at all. Took me a day to learn how to drive the 6 spd transmission in the S, but I'm still getting use to knowing what gear i would be in just by looking at the tach. One of the guys I went to school with had a celica and tried to back my car up for me but he couldn't. Needless to say I can drive his car so easily. I basically have few friends in Lamar now because of the S. lol... I don't really care though because i'm pretty sure were moving to town within a few months and my gf is going to CCU in May. I don't try to go fast in my car though. I had a damn RSX s wanting to run last week but the traffic in florence pisses me off around Irby street. I don't know why the guy would want to run against me though... I was wondering if he had the reflash and headers. I saw he had a catback though... Then afterwards he flipped me off cuz my sister had a loud mouth and told them that their car sucked. Btw Mulder, Have you ever ate @ sakuras? We need to have a mini meet in florence after I get my car fixed b4 I go into the army or something. Oh yeah... I looked at the SCCA info. a while back. Looked interesting. I'm stuck playing Forza motorsports until I get everything straighten'd out though...
Few Q's...
Where do you guys normally shift at for DD?... The dealer I got the car from told me to shift @ 4.5k
What's the best rpm to shift at when flooring it?
Should I avoid shifting right after the crossover to VTEC?
Any other info is helpful.
