Few Q's...
Where do you guys normally shift at for DD?... The dealer I got the car from told me to shift @ 4.5k
What's the best rpm to shift at when flooring it?
Should I avoid shifting right after the crossover to VTEC?
Any other info is helpful.
-depends but I would say 4k
-AP1, 9k of course
-no need to avoid that

In high school I had a 2000 chevy malibu. It sucked so much ass, but I use to party hard so hehe. Now I got the S as a gift for finishing school and I don't party at all. Took me a day to learn how to drive the 6 spd transmission in the S, but I'm still getting use to knowing what gear i would be in just by looking at the tach. One of the guys I went to school with had a celica and tried to back my car up for me but he couldn't. Needless to say I can drive his car so easily. I basically have few friends in Lamar now because of the S. lol... I don't really care though because i'm pretty sure were moving to town within a few months and my gf is going to CCU in May. I don't try to go fast in my car though. I had a damn RSX s wanting to run last week but the traffic in florence pisses me off around Irby street. I don't know why the guy would want to run against me though... I was wondering if he had the reflash and headers. I saw he had a catback though... Then afterwards he flipped me off cuz my sister had a loud mouth and told them that their car sucked. Btw Mulder, Have you ever ate @ sakuras? We need to have a mini meet in florence after I get my car fixed b4 I go into the army or something. Oh yeah... I looked at the SCCA info. a while back. Looked interesting. I'm stuck playing Forza motorsports until I get everything straighten'd out though...

Sakuras........ isn't that on 2nd loop?

In the past we have had out mini-meets @ Carolina Wings but I am up for a change. Since we have had several people in the Florence/Myrtle Beach region join in, I have been thinking about a MED in the area. I need to go scout out some of my old driving roads again. Maybe even some of those Columbians will come.

For your questions.... I agree with David. I normally shift a little higher around town but I tend to drive more on the agressive side. For me, 4,500 -5,000. 8,700 RPM is the peak HP in the AP1..... but why not run it up to 9,000 ? As for the shifting after crossover....... no..... but if I have her wound up tp atleast 6,000...... I am going to go ahead and enjoy the vtec before coming out of it.

Creek Ratz is just like the one at the beach....... but Miyabi's was terrible Hibachi IMO. I would much rather go to Kyoto Express.

If you guys want to do a local MED, we can.... it needs to be more than Rex and I. Garrett?...... Grey?...... Chris?......

Maybe I should throw up a thread......
