Kallan, that is the funniest thing I have ever seen. I'm sure Ron and Bryan will love that...

There is a fine restaurant within the Lodge on the grounds. And that's a good thing...because 'local' restaurants' don't really exist otherwise .
And word is the on-property grill is open now too. So that's another choice.

OK, you know that you have to see the _whole_ story to understand what's really happening here.

I'm holding the stab wound I got from Kalan when she was playing with my toys:

Here's a more typical pose for Bryan and Ron:

^^^ Ditto on that question.

We have never been to Fontana or to an S2000 get together, so we would appreciate any advice on what to bring. We reserved a poolside room, but these do not have a fridge. Surely can't fit much of a cooler in the cavernous S2000 trunk. We plan to bring some sort of libation, cheese, munchies.

What does everyone plan to do for meals? Any advice on local restaurants?
Remember...this is officially an unofficial non-event, so no formal planning allowed!

We usually just have breakfast at the restaurant onsite or at the Dragon Grill, and spend the day driving, grabbing lunch whereever. (But you have to have at least ONE Dragon Burger!)

The restaurant at the Inn is really nice, and the onsite grill is supposed to be more pizza, sandwiches, etc.

One fun thing we've usually done, is to have lunch on Sunday at the Jarrett House (yum!) in a nearby town on the way back to Charlotte. That's about it for planning....

Other things to bring;
Radio/headset
Sunscreen
Hat
Camera
Big grins!

Ok, you're going to think I'm crazy, but I'm planning to leave at 5:00am.

I like making a day of it and having time to make any random side trip that looks good along the way.

Anyone up for it?

Ron,

Are you going up 321 to Hickory?? If so...leaving at 5:00...what time would you be in the Hickory area?

I could meet up with you (guys/girls)...somewhere around Hickory & I-40.
