I'll be picking Bryan up at the airport around 12:30. Probably get a quick bite to eat, and be on our way by 1:00.

This would mean that you can meet up with us in Charlotte for lunch at 12:30, or I-40 exit 119 around 2:00.

Will that work for your schedule?

I'm probably going to leave early Friday morning around 5-6am, since it is such a long drive, not to mentioned I'll be coming off a 12 night shift that same day.

So, I will see you at the resort. That's sucks, I was really hoping to have a caravan up there so that I can stay awake during the drive.

We will be taking I-26 to I-40 at Asheville. Is anyone passing by there around 8:00 AM Friday who would like to meet up and form a (small) caravan?

 

do you have to have a radio? and whats so famous about the channel 4?

 

Provided I get my s2k in time I will definately come up for a few runs, but will be driving back to charlotte the same day.

 

A personal radio is certainly not required, but it makes a big difference to knowing what hazzards may be around ("cop!", "biker on the right ahead", etc.), what the group is doing (stopping for lunch, heading up to the dam....) and just in general listening to the friendly banter and smart remarks inevitably made by the group.

Strictly your call. However, if you get one, be sure to get some sort of hands-free ear piece.

Channel 4 just always seems to be the channel we're on. No special reason.

 

It was deemed the official Carolina's channel several years ago in some thread.

 

I will have an extra radio with me if anyone whats to borrow it.
