Big difference from last year where we had to practically offer money for people to show up..

You must have enough video footage to make an 'ultimate S2000 track videos' DVD...

At $10 a pop you may be able to finance the track excursions!

I had to skip the track day last weekend because of the vacation that went way over budget and the S2000 tax bill of $1000! The second wheelset will also have to wait till spring.

Instead, I did the $20 AutoX in Columbia and had a great time. I felt a little guilty thrashing my new car with 2000 miles on it, but it was time. I just hope my warranty is relatively safe...

I'm not driving in the Laurens event this weekend, but I'll be at the Kershaw (CMP) and Greer (BMW) events in August with my street tires.

Saturday's AutoX was a little craziness (drifting, power slides) mixed with fun. In these next events I hope some of you experienced drivers will coach me a little and come along for a fun-run or two.

Several of you have been a big help so far, and it's appreciated.

I'd love to get my hands on some of those videos. I know others have been filming too.

If anyone is willing to share or swap videos, I can bring my laptop to the next events and burn CDs while at the track.

If it makes you feel any better, I bought my car on a Wednesday, drove it to Clemson to visit some friends Friday (only for break-in miles) and then drove to Charleston that Sunday (I think it was a Sunday event ) and autocrossed it there. It had like 700 miles on it and a paper tag still!

I picked mine up on a Monday and autocrossed on Sunday with about 700 miles on the clock. I had a real tag, though (transferred it from my trade-in).

But seriously, I have been dragging my feet at finishing editing my videos from last year. I am still working on the Roebling Road one and a couple of auto X events.

I think they would be appreciated amongst the hard core crowd.. :-)

 

Well, I finall got off my butt and restored the files for Roebling so that I can finish it up....
now I need the strength to actually do it!
