Default Tracks Days

Lets get a large group of S2000 and do a track day. I know that Seat-Time does an event every month at Roebling. We could do a turn1motorsports day at cmp. NASA is doing 2 days at CMP in July. Let me know what everyone is thinking. I am enjoying the S and want to get it on track soon.

That sounds great, I was at CMP with Porsche Club this weekend and had a great time. I would love to see a contingent of S2000's be present at different club events. Even though this was a Porsche sponsored event members from Corvette/Lotus/BMW/Ferrari are almost always there in force. There is nothing more gratifying than passing a Ferrari 355 on the track. I think posting each event sep. on the board may help to get more people interested in going. Also, check out www.trackschedule.com for event postings.

I'd be interested in Roebling but not CMP/Kershaw....it's too hard on brakes.

Do you have an aftermarket rollbar? The Porsche Club turned one of our regular track junkies away at CMP and told him the stock rollover protection was not adequate for their events. This was when he arrived at the track of course, after he had driven several hours to CMP and paid for a hotel the night before, etc.

I am up for any event. I can get a group discount at Seat-time, but need to know how many and when. I am in need of a track day and wanted to get with a group of S2000. I did several days last year, but none in the S.

Here are the rules for PCA and I have run my S2000 with them before without a problem. I did have a hardtop in place though which may be the difference. I will investigate further. Our cars are legal with seat time/turn one without hardtop

- All open cars must have a roll bar and conform to the following:

(1) Roll bar must meet PCA Club Race specs for materials, design, installation and height.
(2) The top of the main hoop must be at least two inches above the occupants

A Seat-Time event at Roebling sounds good to me. Their web site shows June 23rd as the next date (although the Roebling web site doesn't show it, hmmmm).

Anyway, assuming they are in fact running an event on June 23rd, that sounds good to me. It's a Friday, which tends to keep costs down. It also doesn't conflict with the SouthEastern Super Meet (June 9-11) or the Myrtle Beach Meet (July 14-16). Note that Roebling will be closed for repaving most of July and August, so the June 23rd date may be our only shot for a while.

I would be up for CMP, as well. Turn One Motorsports has lots of upcoming dates there. They have a two-day event June 24th and 25th. Assuming you are allowed to register for only one day, I could do the 25th.

Thoughts?
