Default Vacation in Peru

We took the longest vacation ever. Started in NYC for our daughter's graduation (Masters), then down to Peru to visit our youngest who is living there. Bounced over a lot of rough roads in beater Toyota Corolla taxis -- when we returned, the first drive in the S felt like a luxury ride.

Here is Link to Photos and some teasers.

Lima was the only "low" spot -- sea level that is. We spent 9 days at or above 10,000' elevation!

Arequipa with Chachani volcano - 19,977'

Yours truly at the Cruz del Condor in Colca Canyon -- Colca is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon. We saw dozens of Andean condors there.

The Inca's agricultural research site - Maray

Nevada Salcantay - 20,574'

And of course, Machupicchu. We hiked to the top of Wayanapicchi, the sugarloaf looking mountain immediately behind the city.

Very nice!
I'm actually planning a trip to Peru towards the end of this year.
Are all the place relatively nearby?... say near Machu Picchu?
I only have 5 days and need to plan well not wasting time.
Priority of my trip is photography and recommendation on places with great scenery would be greatly appreciated.
